The Athena Swan application at the School of Clinical Medicine is overseen by the Self-Assessment Team who report to the School Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Governance Group. The School application is also supported by a network of over 100 Equality Champions who represent the departments across the School. More information on the Equality Champions can be found here.
The application and action plan have been informed by a School-wide staff survey which is undertaken periodically (first in 2012, then 2015 and most recently in 2019). Focus groups are formed following each survey to provide more in depth analysis of key areas of work for the School.
