The Academic Women’s Forum is a network led by Professor Christi Deaton (PHPC), Dr Stefanie Reichelt (CRUK) and Dr Helle Jorgensen (Medicine) and supported by the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre. The Forum provides the opportunity for senior and trainee academic women to meet, share advice, talk about their experiences and develop ways to support each other. We hold regular get-togethers on the Biomedical Campus to meet colleagues, share advice and experience, and develop ways to support both senior and junior academic women.
Professor Sadaf Farooqi has recently launched a series on Women Leaders of Today and Tomorrow, that will feature monthly outstanding women speakers from across a variety of disciplines and roles.
Sign up to the Academic Women’s Forum mailing list. This list is used to circulate career development information and opportunities, and events which may be of interest. We welcome you to use the mailing list as a means of peer support. Please feel free to post questions relating to your career development and use the network to support others.

- If you have questions about career development
- If you would like advice about research outside of your supervisory relationships
- If you need a mentor
- If you just want someone to talk to about your career, your work, balancing the different pressures…
…then the senior academic women at the Biomedical Campus, listed on the Mentoring page, will be happy to hear from you.
