“Doing great work in a great place to work“
As of January 2021, the University employs over 180 Junior Doctors. Junior Doctor posts within the University are categorised as Clinical Lecturers, Clinical Research Associates and Clinical Research Fellows.
What is the role of a Junior Doctor?
After completing Medical School the next stage in medical training is that of a Junior Doctor. Junior Doctors enter at foundation stage and progress through to specialist training with the overall objective of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
Once CCT has been obtained they gain entry to either the GMC Specialist Register or GP Register. Having obtained CCT a Junior Doctor can choose to continue practicing at the level of Junior Doctor or take up a Consultant/GP position.
