This theme delves into the overarching panorama and the specific local landscape of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). It explores the broader EDI scene, focusing on its role and importance in the UK higher education sector, while discussing our engagement and contribution to improving EDI at the Clinical School and the wider Biomedical Campus.
This theme investigates research culture, including what it means, the expectations of research funders, and our own aspirations to make our research culture as positive as possible. We aim to facilitate a dialogue on what we can all do to cultivate a positive research culture, and to identify measures we can adopt to monitor our progress.

Focusing on the intersection of EDI with cultural challenges and solutions, this theme seeks to highlight and celebrate innovative practices that have been used by colleagues around the Biomedical Campus. It provides a platform for a “show and tell” of effective EDI strategies, helping us to learn from each other and encouraging dialogue about how to overcome obstacles and implement successful initiatives.
