The five short online training courses below need to be completed by all Clinical School staff. They are essential to ensure that all staff have understanding and knowledge in areas important to their personal development, to optimising working culture, and relating to correct procedures. All staff should make every effort to ensure they have completed these training modules including refreshing your skills in these areas if you have not completed these courses within the last three years.
Equality & Diversity
To ensure that no individual or group is treated or regarded differently because of specified protected characteristics (eg gender, race, religion/beliefs, disability, age or sexuality).
This short course outlines the main principles of E&D and its impacts.
Understanding Unconscious/Implicit Bias
Unconscious bias can heavily influence recruitment and selection decisions, especially in relation to gender and ethnicity.
This training highlights the importance of recognising personal bias and its impact on decisions and interactions with others.
Cyber Security
This training outlines the principles of online security and how to take steps to ensure online safety.
Data Protection
- Changes in data protection law mean the University has a new Data Protection Policy.
- Within this, all staff must undertake relevant data protection training as appropriate for their role.
Prevent
- The ‘Prevent Duty’ is a statutory duty to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
- All staff should be aware of radicalisation, definitions of extremism and processes for raising concerns.
